I am a Board Certified Orthopedic, fellowship trained surgeon. My practice is limited to treatment of the upper extremity. This includes the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
I have had the great fortune to develop and pioneer the treatment of the three conditions that have become world standards of care.
Suprascapular nerve entrapment of the shoulder
An unusual condition that presents with pain and weakness that previously had not uniform treatment or surgical approach prior to my investigation.
Mid Carpal instability
A condition that had never been recognized previously. This condition is a cause of wrist pain that is not frequently recognized. It can be treated non surgically and sometimes surgically.
Arthritis of the base of the thumb
Many arthritic thumbs can be treated non surgically. There are some that progress to the point that surgery is recommended. Most surgeons treat this condition with traditional extensive open surgery that requires a prolonged period of recovery. I have developed a minimally invasive arthroscopic technique that has been highly successful in the hands of a small group of surgeons that have been able to master the technique.
My Mission
Provide quality medical care of the upper extremity with compassion. I am very fortunate to practice my specialty.
My focus of practice is limited. This allows me to have greater knowledge of the conditions I treat and to be able to focus on what I do treat.
